The Dragon Fly

“The Dragon Fly that bombed into the Sanctuary Office Driveway.  Fahy said, that once dead, Dragon Flies instantly lose color. All except the compound eyes, so luminous and vibrant in color, the dominant sense of this insect, were so dull looking. So much the contrast at the last moment, that I caught myself from touching this seemingly deadened part of him still alive and quivering….. alas”

“In the meantime the Day lilies are in full bloom fronting the stone wall at the Sanctuary Office.”
