Ann Carter studied at the Boston Museum School of Art and has continued painting in watercolors over the years studying with many respected teachers. She has been a member of several birding clubs and garden clubs which have taken her through New England, Arizona, Churchill, Manitoba Canada and the Galápagos Islands and beyond. She comes by her talent and interest naturally as her very artistic father was a prolific oil painter and watercolorist. She is also a long-standing member of the Massachusetts Audubon Society, last year they linked this blog to their website http://www.massaudubon.org/

Mum has been painting watercolors for as long as I can remember. I think her work is outstanding. She has the “eye” and she has the “feel” for watercolor. Her unique creativity infuses every image.
Lovely, sensitive pictures by a lovely sensitive lady. I look forward to enjoying more.

This is my first chance to see Ann’s work. It is so beautiful, elegant, and emotional. I love how the images conjure the feeling of the environment she paints in her landscapes.
